My name is Jammie Lockett, a 26 year old African-American male from Abilene, Texas. I started writing when I was around 10, but didn’t take it serious until the summer of 2019 when I was 25. My inspiration comes from being raised in poverty by a single strong mother. It’s easy to end up a statistic when faced with those circumstances. I chose to pave my own way instead of living with excuses. In this installment, you will experience me living my truth unapologetically.
