I was born in Crossville, Tennessee, where I still live today. Growing up on the family farm helped me to develop my avid imagination. I have always been an avid reader of all kinds of books, but my favorites were the classics: Tolkien, Stoker, and others. I graduated from Cumberland County High School, got my associate’s degree from Roane State Community College and my bachelor’s degree in biology from Tennessee Technological University. I met my beautiful wife, Holly, and her daughter in 2001, and we were married in 2002. I adopted her daughter, Tasha, shortly thereafter. My grandson, Matt, was born in 2012, and I have never been happier.
