Teneil Smith-Adamson is a Jamaican, author, and content writer. Her passion for writing emerged at a young age. Her life experiences have forced her to write which she channeled into her “Journey of Uncertainty”. When she arrived in Canada in 2019, she felt unstable and adrift in an unfamiliar place.

Nevertheless, she completed her education and develop her love for poetry. She is a content writer and is on her way to becoming a journalist. Her writing developed through being in Canada and feeling depressed and exhausted from studying, being a mom, a wife, and away from her country. She writes as an experience and a way of healing based on what is happening around her. Since the launch of her writing portfolio website “Writers Reflection” in March 2022, this is her first collection of self-publishing poetry. Teneil becomes an inspiration to her colleagues and people worldwide and a trailblazing voice for those seeking to escape through poetry.

Drawing on her own experiences of displacement, discrimination, and teenage experience Teneil uses her words to encourage others to build a home within themselves—to live, love, and create fearlessly.
