Three months after Halia moves from Hawaii to Thailand in the 1980s at the age of nine, she gets caught in the largest flood and landslide Thailand has ever seen. Heartfelt, well written, interesting read

I enjoyed reading this story and the heartwarming characters and events stayed with me. The author did an excellent job of bringing Thailand to life. The stories about the elephants were authentic and I would definitely share this story with anyone. Enjoyed it very much.
