“Loving You, Loving Me” is a poetry book that talks about finding love and learning how to love yourself when that relationship is over. Although my heart has been broken before, it was hard to overcome the breakup that inspired this book. “Loving You, Loving Me” walks you through the process of finding, loving and losing someone you loved.

Then it goes on to focusing on yourself when everything feels lost. Losing yourself because of the heart ache, but slowly learning how to love yourself and how to find yourself afterwards, finding new passions, getting to know yourself, building yourself up again.

María Ortiz was born in 2001 in Caracas, Venezuela. At the Age of 15 María and her family were struggling to survive under the circumstances of their country, that is when they made the decision to leave Venezuela and move to the United States.

Her faith, family and close friends are her support system and the most important thing for her. After years of dealing with depression and anxiety she found writing to be a way for her not to escape from reality, but to face it. “Loving You, Loving Me” is María’s first book.
