My Heart In Pages is a composition of a few of my poetic works.

Everything that is written I have undergone and I would like to share it

with the world. I have wanted to publish my work for some time now and

for many reasons. Firstly because writing poetry has always helped me

express my feelings in a safe way. Mostly I wanted to publish this book

for the people that I love and loved in the past. So that they can have a

glimpse of what goes on in my head and why I am the way that I am. I

hope that my poems help many people who are going through so much.

I never thought that I would be publishing a book because I've only ever

written for myself. Sophomore year of high school was the first time I

wrote and wanted other people to read my work. My inspiration for my

poetry is Dylan Geick because like me he is young and has gone through

life changing experiences. This book holds my heart in pages, I hope that

you enjoy reading what I have undergone.

Alyssa Longoria is an 18 year old high school student. These poems are a look into her mind and heart. She would like to share her work with the world. In these pages she has expressed her experiences with love, fear, and loss.
