Have you ever heard the word depression before? Why did I go through it? Being in and out of the hospital since I was young made me become insecure. My flaws were pointed out and picked on. My brother called me names and made me feel ashamed. My mom brought up my weight and made me feel hate. Running away doesn’t help but makes things more complicated. My best friend moved away and made me feel more alone. My hope is that people would read my story and know that they are strong and not alone in their sufferings.

Kai is a young, first-time author who has struggled with depression a couple times. She loves to write poems or books based on her life experiences. Kai lives in her hometown with her parents. In her spare time, she loves to go golfing, horseback riding, quading, and late-night drives. She enjoys singing, reading books, watching hockey and making up essential oil roller bottles. Kai works with children at the Daycare Centre. Her dream is to be a full- time blogger or writer. Kai has a Diploma in early learning and child Care, has her first aid, a Diploma in Depression and certificate in Depression: Myths and Causes. Kai is currently working on another book that she hopes to get out in the near future.
