Helen Elliott, a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother grew up in Dallas, Texas before moving to Oklahoma to live with her new husband in 1995. She and her husband have been in the recycling business since that time with Helen creating different characters and stories that could help teach children about recycling. After developing more of her writing skills and talking about her wish to create a book, a mutual friend introduced her to Stephanie Hazel who agreed to a collaboration.
Stephanie Hazel, a loving daughter, aunt, and sister, grew up in a small town in Southern Oklahoma and began writing stories when she was a young teenager. She continued to develop her skills well into adulthood and went to school to build upon her art skills as well. She then received her bachelor’s degree in fine arts at East Central University in 2022 and shortly after had a mutual friend introduce her to Helen Elliott who wished to collaborate on creating a book about recycling.
