Ahmad Abdullah, born Shelve Carter 8-11-73 native of north Philly grew up the second child of five the oldest male. Ahmad completed high school in 1991 at Northeast high. Returned to higher learning starting at Community College of Philadelphia where he graduated with an Associate degree in education in 2001 then moved on to Temple University to complete Bachelor degree in education secondary education English major in 2003. Ahmad taught at Germantown masjid school in 2005. Conducted homeschool classes in 2009 at a location overtop of café he owned. At the same time Ahmad owned and opened a café he opened in 2003 the summer after he graduated from Temple University.in 2017 Ahmad took another teaching position at Tarbiyatul Ilm Islamic charter school in 2017.aside from writing Ahmad recently opened a café in his old neighborhood across the street from the house grew up in. He is still working towards opening a full K-12 Islamic school.
